EASTER - just fluffy bunnies or a prickly subject?

Unlike Christmas, Easter may not be a big event for you. Yet to Christians, Easter is probably more important than Christmas. So why hasn't it 'caught on' as much?

Maybe the story of a cuddly baby, born in a stable with cute animals looking on, is easier to handle than the idea of a man's crucifixion. A happy birth seems a better reason to celebrate than a cruel death!

But when you see the chocolate eggs and Easter bunnies this year, don't just settle for that. The real meaning of Easter has power to change your life for the better.

More accurately, the person Easter is all about has the power to change your life - Jesus. The day Jesus died, 'Good Friday', is good because His death brought God's forgiveness for our sins, so that we can have eternal life.

Not only that, but three days later Jesus rose from the dead, promising a new life in the here and now. Life without fear of death, with hope, meaning and peace....

So can you see why those who have received Jesus into their lives have good reason to celebrate Easter?

Because Jesus is alive today we can know Him personally, through God's Holy Spirit. It's an incredible relationship - with a living, loving God who gave His life to save you.

What do you have to do? Invite Jesus into your life to be your Lord and Friend. It's a life-time commitment, but you'll never regret it.

Discover the true meaning of Easter - discover Jesus.
