GOOD FRIDAY
The Friday before Easter commemorates the Crucifix and death of Jesus Christ.
Although the date is not exactly known, some but not all of us will be around in 2033 – the 2000th anniversary of the death of Christ.
Easter is a moving Church Festival governed by the date of the first full moon after 21st March (called Paschal).
The saga of Easter has kept the world’s most famous artists in business for all this time including our front cover painted by El Greco in circa 1580 of which the original is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
