A message from Darrol & Sue dated 10th
September
Our sincere thanks and appreciation.
Thank you all so much for that magnificent send-off yesterday!
Sue and I were absolutely overwhelmed by the expressions of love and
support by so many, many people. It was truly a Celebration of
Ministry and affirmation of our time shared within Church and
community. You did us proud and we will always treasure the love
and affection shown to us over the past 15 years.
We were graciously touched by God through our worship, then sharing a
wonderful buffet (as always) afterwards. Thanks to all of you for
the preparation and hard work beforehand. Sue and I also remember
with thanksgiving the many people who were unable to share with us
yesterday, yet who equally sent expressions of gratitude through cards,
letters and gifts.
Many, many thanks for your extraordinary generosity. Surely there
must be a huge error - someone has got the decimal point in the wrong
place! We intend buying furniture for the conservatory, indeed
with such a gift even extending the conservatory!
Please, please keep in touch - and we assure you of a warm welcome and
bed should you pass our way - we really mean that.
It is our prayer '... that you may have your roots and foundation in
love, so that you, together with all God's people, may have the power
to understand how broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ's
love.' (Ephesians 3:17)
