EASTER SUNDAY (and our traditional Easter Egg Hunt) will be celebrated with a service at Nocton on
Sunday 12th April at 9.30am.
There will also be a service at Potterhanworth at 9.30am.
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
The Annual General Meeting of the PCC will be held on Wednesday 15th April 2009 at 7.30pm in the church. All are welcome but to stand for office or to vote, you will need to be on the Church Electoral Roll. Please ring/email Chris Howard for a form – there is no cost involved.
The Church and Grounds will be the subject of a ‘clean up’ day on Saturday 4th April commencing at 10 am. All are welcome.
The next Coffee Morning in the Village Hall will be at 10am on Wednesday 8th April.
Saturday 16th May – Arts NK will be conducting a tour round the village at 11.00am starting at the bench and finishing at 12 with a short performance by The Fraser Sisters together with tea and cakes.
Sunday 12th July The Bishop of Grantham will be coming to assist in taking the service at Nocton at 9.30am. A good turnout would be appreciated.
Weddings are now booked at Nocton Church on 27th June at 2pm, 17th July at 1pm, 1st August at 3pm & 8th August at 2pm
Thursday 21st May at Branston Church – Combined Eucharist for Graffoe Deanery – lots of local music at Branston!
At this time of year, the Churchyard is becoming its usual picture with Lesser Celendines (small aconite like yellow wild flowers) and different coloured Primulas.
Hirst Conservation have now finished their report on the condition and recommended treatment for the wall paintings in the Church and we now look forward to the conclusions of the Council for the Care of Churches.
The Annual Parish Council meeting will be held on the 5th May at the Village Hall at 7pm. All are welcome
On the 11th April, there will be an Easter Fair at the Village Hall from 3pm to 5pm. All are welcome .
On Thursday 23rd April, Branston, Nocton & PH L.I.V.E.S are holding a spiritualist medium evening with the renowned Bryan Gibson at the Branston Village Hall. Doors will be open at 6-30pm. Admission £5.00. Proceeds to L.I.V.E.S. Tickets from Dianne Jackson on (01526)323210
On Thursday 30th April, L.I.V.E.S are holding a First Aid in the home evening at Nocton V.H.. A talk & demonstration will be given on how to deal with cuts, sprains burns etc. Please come to meet your local L.I.V.E.S team. Free & from 6pm with refreshments.
