HARVEST THANKSGIVING WILL NOW BE HELD ON SUNDAY, 12th OCTOBER AT 4.00 PM
We extend our thanks to Lyn and Matt Corrigan for providing afternoon tea for all in the Old Vicarage garden which raised £120 for church funds.
The Village Hall is very pleased with the new kitchen opened in July. Many thanks for all the gifts and grants from “Awards For All”.
From the Church RegisterEleanor Rose and Charlotte Lily Webster were baptized on Sunday 13th July 2008.
The Cricket Club held its Annual village friendly match on Sunday 20 July in lovely weather. The match ended in a draw between the Chairman’s 11 and the President’s 11, with 145 runs each. The club would like to thank Dominic Grant for providing the cakes for tea and Andy Chapple for providing the barbeque in the evening.
The Old Font which was the Church grounds has been moved inside for safety. Dating from the 14th Century, the Font was in the old Medieval Church which was in the Hall grounds. It was demolished in 1775.
