Nocton Parish Council

The next meeting will be held on Thursday 5^th February 2008.

The Nocton Annual Parochial Church Meeting will be held at 7.30pm in Nocton Church on Wednesday, 2^nd April.

All are welcome.

Coffee Morning

Every 2^nd Wednesday at 10.00 am in the Village Hall. The next one being 13^th February – everyone is very welcome.

PCC Meeting

At its meeting on 9^th January, the PCC discussed progress on the restoration of the wall paintings and the planned 2^nd World War Memorial.

They were pleased that the fuel tank had been replaced with a new bunded one– the previous having lasted for 40 years. The boiler caught out in the floods last July had had a new burner fitted and the congregation were pleased to have been warm all winter but regrettably, at a cost of over £1300.

They also discussed the continuing arrangements stemming from the retirement of Darrol Reagon.

The Parish

A well attended conservation meeting had been held at the Village Hall to consider extending the Parish Conservation area to include the Hall. There is to be a six week consultation period finishing on 15^th February 2008.

From the Register

A Burial service taken by Canon Bryan Barrodale & followed by the Cremation of Jean Hazel Hodge was held on 7^th January 2008.
