Dear friends of Nocton
The Rector, Rev Darrol Reagon, Church Members and friends trust that you all have had a Happy Christmas. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy and Peaceful New Year.
We have quite a few plans for 2004 that we think you may be interested in, as the the Church is trying to cater for all aspects of life.
First of all we have a Choir from Southend-on-Sea in Essex who are coming to sing for us on 8 May We are also planning other musical evenings in the church during the year.
On 19 June, which is the Midsummer Day weekend, we wnvisage being an afternoon family time. This would include bouncy castle, bar-b-cue etc followed by music for a summer's evening in the church. The church will be decorated for this event as a flower festival. The Church PCC felt that it would be nice to ask you all if you would like to help us with running and organising this event. This woulod make it more of a major village event.
We would also like to know if any of you would be interested in any of the following which we would like to do?
Music Group (any persons playing a musical instrument to a reasonable standard)
Adult and Children''s Choir
Flower arranging
Making tea & coffee
Having a stall at the Midsummer Event
