Record crowds attended both Christmas services!  211 came to the excellent Christingle service and later on a further 112 to our Midnight Holy Communion.  Thanks to all for decorating the church and to Darrol and Nigel for taking the two special occasion services. The Children’s Society have benefited by £230 many thanks for your generosity.


FROM THE CHURCH REGISTER

Laura Jane Halse and Samuel James Wilding were married on 17th December.

We wish them every happiness.


FROM NOCTON PARISH COUNCIL

The council have provided dog waste bins and strongly urge all dog owners and dog walkers to make use of these facilities.  Please note that it is a fineable offence not to clean up after dogs in your care.  The council would like to thank all considerate dog owners.

C.Cllr Overton warned about the damage of using ‘soft drugs’.

The next meeting will be held on Tues 7th February at 7pm in the village hall.


WREATHS

As you know, these get very ‘tatty’ towards the end of January – we ask for them to be removed by that time.


NOCTON CRICKET CLUB

The McKinnell Cricket League awarded David Glew the Arthur Coles Shield for services to cricket in Nocton.
