This year we raised £196.21.  Thank you our collectors and for your contributions.


CEREALS 2006 COMES TO NOCTON

On 14th and 15th June, the Nocton Estates will host the UK’s premier annual arable event with over 3000 exhibitors. Farmers will come from both the UK and abroad – a number will be looking to stay. The organizers invite only local Guest houses or  Band B to email their details to Alice Bell on alice.bell@haynet.com.  Further information on Cereals 2006 is available at cerealsevent.org.uk


FRIENDS OF NOCTON SCHOOL

On Friday 23rd June at 8 pm in the school grounds, the Governing body will perform a Murder Mystery Play.  Tickets including a glass of wine are £2.50 each and available from the Post Office or school.


SUNDAY 4TH JUNE – PENTECOST SUNDAY

Global Day of Prayer will be held from 2-4pm at Lincolnshire Showground.  Admission is free but a goodwill offering will be taken.  Worship will be led by Godfrey Birtill and the Threshold Band.  Gates open at 12.30pm.  Christians worried about crime, poverty and ungodliness must be there!


The Vestry curtain has been refurbished by Dilys Jones from the Cathedral Needlework Guild and has been returned & rehung.  Many thanks to her and Carol Bennet for arranging this.


NOCTON PARISH COUNCIL

At the Annual Meeting, Mr Morris was re-elected Chairman, the other Parish Councilors are Mr D Rumbelow, Mr G Watchus, Mr N Faulkener, Mr H Capewell, Mr P Askew and Ms D Wilson.  The next two meetings will be on Tuesday 6th June and Tuesday 4th July at 7 pm in the Village Hall.


The Village Hall Management Committee are looking for someone to cut the grass around the Village Hall and keep the area tidy – anyone with an hour or so a week please contact 01526 322323 or 01526 322902.
