Regrettably, Darrol Reagon has been signed off for a further 2 months. In the meantime, we have been privileged to use the services of Terry Stokes and Bryan Barrodale and some kind helpers. It was good to see Darrol and Sue in Nocton Church on Sunday and we look forward to welcoming him back.

CHRISTIAN AID raised a record total this year of £217. Thanks to all particularly our collectors.

NOCTON VILLAGE TRAIL

A successful ‘Open Day’ was held on Monday 28th May attended by Douglas Hogg QC MP and a crowd from the village. A good hour's walk was followed by refreshments.

Nocton has moved on from being a small estate village to a desirable place to live in a very short time.

PARISH COUNCIL NEWS

On Thursday 10th May, 20 parishioners, our 2 District Councilors and PCSO Flannigan joined the Parish Councilors in attending the Annual Parish Meeting. The Chairman to the Parish Council had been informed on the evening of Tuesday 8th May that Mr Hardcastle, agent for LEDA Properties, would be attending the meeting, unfortunately he never arrived. Mr Morris, Chairman, gave his annual report and District Councilor Mr Chambers gave a report from the district council.

The Annual Parish Council meeting followed, Mr Morris being elected Chairman and Ms Wilson Vice Chair. The Annual Financial report was discussed and adopted.
