ORGAN

The organ has now returned and looks magnificent with polished box and gold pipes to replace the rather dull silver.  It also works!

Thanks to all who contributed – we are about halfway towards our target of £8,000.

THE HOLE IN THE GROUND is now filled in with the Treatment plant installed.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS

The AGM of Nocton PCC will be held on Wednesday 30th March in the Church at 7.30 pm.  Everyone is welcome.

The AGM of Nocton Parish Council will be held on Wednesday 4th April at 7 pm in the Village Hall.  Everyone is welcome.

At the last Parish Council meeting, Harry Copewell was co-opted on, which goes to show that at least one person reads the magazine as he saw the vacancy notice in February’s magazine!

NOCTON FRIENDSHIP CLUB

With the demise of the taxi service from Metheringham, the Club is seriously short of members and in danger of closing.  Anyone interested in joining should contact Ann Kennedy.

WHERE NOW WITH NOCTON CHURCH RESTORATION ?

Priorities are now

1.                  The disabled toilet (having sorted out the drainage)

2.                  The Vestry refurbishment

3.                  Cleaning and renewing the wall paintings

4.                  Redecorating the church walls

I hope we are able to complete 1 and 2 this year.  3 is dependant on finding an outside contractor and 4 should follow 3.

<>In the meantime, we have commissioned David Glew to do our quinquennial survey.  This is an obligatory 5-year survey of the church and grounds by a suitably qualified architect.  Keep our fingers crossed that there is not a lot else wrong!
