THANK YOU to those who kindly contributed to the Treasurer’s Appeal last month. With the tax back, over £1000 has been raised so far.
NOCTON VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE are providing a Ploughman’s Lunch from 12-2pm on Wednesday 5th March for £2.50 a head. All are welcome.
COFFEE MORNING as usual, from 10-12am on Wednesday 12th March in the Village Hall.
PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
On 5th February, five members of the Parish Council and the clerk met with two District Officers to visit the site and discuss the problems being experienced by residents and visitors on Nocton Park.
On 14th February, Parish Councilors met again with Michael Braithwait and Rita Marzheuser from NKDC regarding the extension of the conservation area.
NOCTON CRICKET CLUB
The Cricket Club held its AGM in January and the following cups were presented to players for their performances in the 2007 season.
Batting – David Franklin; bowling – Bruce Donald; fielding – Darren Swift; All rounder – Matt Gaunt; Young Player – Ben Tumilty; Presidents Cup – Darren Swift; Club men – Cameron and Bruce Donald; Most Ducks – David Glew; Most Improved – Whole Team.
Indoor practice is taking place in February and March, ready for outdoor practice in April (Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm). If there is anyone interested in cricket, they could telephone David Glew – 01526 321756.
