DON'T FORGET the Musical "Snakes and Ladders" in church presented by a choir from Southend-on-Sea on Saturday 8 May at 6.30 pm. Tickets at the door at £2.75 (you can go to the Barn Dance at Potterhanworth for Christian Aid for a double-bill evening!)

NOTES FROM THE PARISH COUNCIL CLERK
6 Parish Councillors, our 2 District Councillors, our County Councillor and 40 members of the public attended the meeting on 9 March 2004 to listen to and question Mr Nick Barlow of Renewable Energy Systems on the possible proposal to build a wind farm at Wasp's Nest. All the members of the public then left the meeting and the Councillors continued with the ordinary Parish Council business of the evening. The Annual Parish meeting on 1 April was attended by our 7 P Cllrs, D Cllr Rose, C Cllr Overton and the clerk.
The next Parish Council meeting will be held on 6 May 2004.

There is no longer a key to the church at the Post Office. A key for the North door is available at 1 Potterhanworth Road, 53 Wellhead Lane and Hawthorn House, Main Street,
Please note Christian Aid Week starts on 9 May and envelopes have been delivered in the village with the paper newsletter.
