Darrol Reagon is on sick leave at this time. We all hope and pray he recovers quickly. Terry Stokes had been kind enough to ‘step into the breach’ for three Sundays at Nocton and we thank him very much for his kindness.

Our Church AGM was held on Wednesday 28th March. Dr Liz Murray and Chris Howard were elected churchwardens.

There are now 40 names on the Nocton Church Electoral Roll. Being on the Roll allows you to be a church officer and vote at the Church meetings. If you wish to join, contact Chris Howard.

A reasonable surplus has been made in the year and the accounts were signed off.

Ruth Eagle was re-elected for a further 3 years as Nocton Representative on the Diocesan Synod.

Doreen Green, Ann Kennedy and Elsie Horton were elected on the Church Council and Peter and Millie Ayres, Ruth Eagle, Doreen Green, Anne Kennedy, Elsie Horton and Chris and Paula Hewitt were elected sides men/women.

ORGANIST

After some looking around, we found an organist within 200 metres of the church!

John Burrows has kindly consented to play one Sunday a month and Mike Boltz has agreed to continue with the other Sunday.

We thank them both very much – it is very nice to have two very capable people playing our restored organ.

NOTES FROM THE REGISTER

On Wednesday 11th April, the church was crowded for the funeral service of much loved Violet Jackson, wife of the late Frank Jackson
