Nocton Parish Council

Amongst things discussed at the September meeting with PC Powell were the problems with traffic and the great concerns about Nocton Hall and the hospital site.

The investigation into the village hall subsidence problem continues.

Sadly Ms Yarwood-Paintal has resigned leaving a vacancy.  A NKDC notice of this has been displayed and if there is no call for an election a new member will be co-opted.

Cllr Overton gave a County Council update.

The next meeting is on Tuesday 4th October at 7 pm in the village hall.

Harvest Thanksgiving was a good success. Over 50 attended both the service and the supper and £130 was raised for church funds. Many thanks to our ladies who worked hard to both ‘dress’ the church for the occasion and provide the catering., including local stuffed chine and haslet.

The Art Exhibiton presented by Cliff Baxendale and the Art Group revealed a huge amount of hidden talent – well done to all concerned!

Cycle Ride Thank you to those who manned the church on September 10th and also to the Eagle family who cycled for Nocton Church and the Old Churches Trust.

The Organ Recital has been postponed until the springtime.
