HARVEST THANKSGIVING

This will be followed by Harvest Supper at the Village Hall. Tickets are available from Anne Kennedy on 01526 322739, at £7.50 (£5.00 children) including wine. Please come & join in.

APPOINTMENT OF A PRIEST

At last, the Bishop of Grantham has agreed to appoint a further priest to our Eastern Cluster. Do not expect this to happen for six months but it is at least a step in the right direction.

APOLOGIES for the ‘typo’ substituting ‘graves’ for ‘games’ in last months magazine. We went last week to the Normandy D Day beaches and graves and that was where the muddle occurred!

It is good to know that the war games application has been subsequently withdrawn but for how long?

CYCLE RIDE

The Eagle family raised circa £300 from their ride for Nocton Church and the Old Churches Trust- well done to them & our

thanks also to those who manned the church.

WI COFFEE MORNING

Wednesday 8^th October in Nocton Village Hall at 10-12 noon. Come along and have a tea/coffee and a chat.

WI CHRISTMAS FAYRE – Craft Fair at Nocton Village Hall on Saturday 22^nd November from 2-5pm. Stalls £7 plus the usual games, cake stalls, tombola and raffle. Refreshments on sale. Santa’s coming as well. For more information contact Philip on 01526 322902 or Peter on 01526 322074.

FITNESS PILATES CLASSES have now restarted. Our tutor, Leslie is very keen to provide this class in Nocton. Assemble at 10.45 Tuesday mornings in the Village Hall. The class is suitable for ages 18-80 and the cost will be approx £3.00 depending on numbers.

THE VILLAGE HALL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE are providing another pie, peas & pots Lunch at 12-15 to 1-00 on 3^rd Nov. All are welcome
