DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Harvest Thanksgiving – 25th September 2005 at 4.00 pm followed by Harvest supper and Art Exhibition in the Village Hall at approximately 5.30 pm. The Village Hall will be open to display the Art Exhibition on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th from 10 am - 5 pm.
Tickets for the Harvest Supper are £5 each for adults including a glass of wine and £3 for children and are available from Ann Kennedy on 01526 322739.
Please come along to the Harvest Thanksgiving – the church will be decorated by friends of Nocton Church the day before and looks very fine.

Sponsored Bike Ride

In aid of the Lincolnshire Old Churches Trust and Nocton Church, this annual event takes place on Saturday 10th September 2005. Sponsor forms are available from Liz Murray on 01526 323357 or please help to man the Church.

Nocton Parish Council

August meeting - the Council felt that the traffic calming posters put up by the Road Safety Partnership should be extended to the entry of the village. No fresh information was available on Nocton Hall. The investigation into the Village Hall subsidence problem has begun. Network Rail engineers are carrying out investigations on the Wellhead Lane bridge. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 6 September 2005 at 7.00 pm in the Village Hall.

Friends of Nocton School

Families and friends are invited to the school on Friday 16 September 2005 from 5.30 pm - 7.00 pm. A Beetle Drive, readings and pictures done by the children and a Bouncy Castle. Come and enjoy the fun!

Dunston Twinning Association are holding a Wine Tasting on Saturday 1 October 2005 at 7.30 pm at Dunston Village Hall. Tickets are £7 each available from 01526 323830.

BBC Songs of Praise

To be held in the Cathedral on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 November 2005 at 7.00 pm - 10.00 pm - please contact Liz Murray for further details.
